APP helps deliver commercially-viable, environmentally-sustainable landmark building

The Client brief was to provide a flagship building in the Perth CBD, in terms of design and environmental initiatives. The outcome surpassed expectations. Stockland’s PCA award winning 2 Victoria Ave office development achieved a 5 star NABERS rating and 6 Greenstar rating, the first and only one in Western Australia.

APP harnessed the construction knowledge and capability of the contractor to facilitate development of practical resolution to innovative ideas, many of which were a first in the WA market. Ultimately the contractor owned the innovation as much as the client, with a motivation to deliver a unique building.

The 7,350 m2 multiple award winning building incorporated a range of innovative features, including an innovative automated operable louvre façade wrapping the western side of the building. With the floor layout and building form designed to maximise amenity and efficiency of the available space, the final outcome provided our client with a future proof and commercially viable product, and overall a development all involved could take pride in
