Botanique Terrace Homes, Gold Coast
With the UDIA in Queensland predicting the Gold Coast population to double by 2050, the residential sector in that region is experiencing strong growth. Following on this growth, the Robina Group engaged APP to manage and deliver a complex town planning application for their newest and largest master planning project at Robina, valued at $130M.
The “Botanique” Terrace Home development is a multifaceted project that involved a combined development application for operational civil works, final development approval and small lot subdivision for 230 freehold allotments and public parklands. Currently under construction, the project will be developed over a notional 4 stage construction program on the 12.4ha site, surrounded by waterways, park and a golf course. When completed, the development will feature 230 three-bedroom terrace homes, all on freehold title.
APP’s role included preliminary design and planning input, extensive negotiations with government authorities and political representatives and leading the town planning phase of the project in support of the development assessment coordination process.
Robina’s landmark development proposal builds on APP’s recent success in the delivery of similar planning projects in Queensland, where expertise in State legislation, local planning controls and communication management is required to negotiate through complex planning approvals.
