  • Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre Redevelopment

Helping to bring a new retail space to Melbourne's western corridor

Project details:

Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre Redevelopment

The Pacific Group of Companies is investing $370 million into the redevelopment of the existing Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre.

APP has been assisting The Pacific Group on this project since February 2013. This has included the progression of design documents, preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation and negotiations, and contractor appointment, for both the early works package and the main works package.

The current centre will be extended by over 35,000sqm, featuring wide malls, clean finishes, and will be designed for maximum natural light.

There will be a new Myer Store over two levels, a new Target store and over 120 new shops and kiosks. A fresh food precinct is planned including an Aldi store, an external restaurant precinct, and two Gold Class cinemas. In addition there are 1500 new car spaces and a new 10-bus interchange.

The program of works includes several milestones. The first of which is a new 10-bus interchange, which was operational from early 2014. By mid-2015 the new dining and entertainment precinct and Target and specialty stores are scheduled to open, with the remaining stores and fresh food precinct scheduled to be operational by the end of 2016.

APP will continue to provide Project Management and Superintendence services, as well as Tenancy Coordination services for the remainder of the project.
