Project details:

APP helps re-develop Parramatta Stadium into a vibrant, community-based multi-purpose facility

Parramatta Stadium is a major sporting facility and community-based asset within the Parramatta area, and in recent times, the Stadium has been used for an increasing number of community events. To capture this increasing demand, the Parramatta Stadium Trust needed expertise to develop a Master Plan and to prepare a business case and financial projections  in support of the re-development proposal.

APP was engaged to build the business case for the re-development proposal as defined in the Master Plan. The preferred option was recommended to the Trust as measured against the strategic and operational outcomes wanted by the stakeholders. With funding secured, it is expected that the Stadium changes will be completed by March 2014.

APP was involved in the development of two key supporting documents in accordance with the NSW Government Gateway Review System. The Strategic Review (“Needs Analysis”) assessed whether the proposal aligned with the Government’s plans, and whether the current proposal met the “best value” test.

The second document was the Business Case (“Funding Approval”) which tested the preferred option against a 7-point selection criteria, as well as the underlying value proposition and the veracity of the business outcomes. APP also prepared an economic appraisal and impact assessment study.
