Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Centre of Excellence

Providing a state-of-the-art grandstand and training facility on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Opened in 1911, Brookvale Oval has been the spiritual home of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles ever since the team was admitted to the 1947 premiership competition. Prior to its use as a sporting stadium, the oval had been used as a horse racing arena and as a military training ground during WWII.

To secure the future of the football club, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles commenced plans to revitalise the ageing stadium and build a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence for the club. The new facilities would also support future ambitions of launching and women’s NRL team, youth sporting development, and enhanced community programs and initiatives.

The project delivered:

  • A new home for the entire Club, including office and administration functions
  • World class player facilities for male and female teams
  • 3000 seat undercover grandstand and high-quality spectator experience areas
  • Corporate areas and facilities for the community
  • Elite-level gymnasium, medical and rehabilitation facilities and aquatic recovery pools

The APP Group provided project management and development management services to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Centre of Excellence project. The team worked closely with project partners including architects and town planners to develop a brief that secured Development Approval.
