Robina Town Centre Planning Approval

  • APP secures planning approval for Retail projects

    Robina Town Centre, Gold Coast

Project details:

APP’s extensive experience in the local planning legislation on the Gold Coast and respected track record in delivering timely DA approvals for clients was instrumental in our appointment by Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) to their latest shopping centre project. APP was engaged to facilitate and deliver QIC’s $88M development at Robina Town Centre that will add flagship retailers and a host of speciality stores and continue to reinforce the Centre’s reputation as the region’s most progressive and exciting urban shopping, leisure and entertainment destination.

APP’s role included preliminary town planning advice and extensive negotiations with Council town planners and local political representatives to seek support for the expansion project, which will add approximately 5,700 square metres of gross lettable area, incorporating new flagship brands with large-scale, new to market concepts as well as approximately 45 speciality retailers.

Through tireless determination by our experienced planning team, APP achieved the near-impossible of securing a development approval for QIC in a record time from Gold Coast City Council. This unprecedented outcome was delivered through a combination of meticulous efficiency, a thorough understanding of all Council requirements, together with close collaboration and trusted relationships with the government authorities prior to and post lodgement of the development application
