Botany Rail Duplication

Boosting Sydney’s rail freight capacity to Port Botany.

The Port Botany Rail Line Duplication project has improved access to the global export market through Port Botany by shifting freight away from road transport and easing traffic congestion. This project involved the dismantling of a 60-year-old steel single-track rail bridge and the construction of a new concrete double-track bridge at Robey Street.

The APP Group was engaged by the Australian Rail Track Corporation and John Holland Group to provide Independent Environment Auditing services for the Botany Rail Duplication project. The role included review of environmental documentation, records and site inspections of the works being carried out.
