Drayton State School

Heritage-listed state school receives an amenities upgrade.

Drayton State School is one of the oldest continually open schools in Queensland and has a rich history that remains part of their regular school activities. Their three sporting houses are named after local families who were involved in the school; Devine, Peak and Sowden, the Cissie Devonshire Award is presented to a student who demonstrates compassion, in memory of a long-term resident and former pupil, and the Shultz Family aware recognises sporting achievement.

The APP Group was engaged by the Department of Education to provide Project Management Services for the refurbishment of an amenities block at Drayton State School. Our team played a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of this project including supporting the school principals in understanding their responsibilities within the project scope, document preparation, risk identification and management, procurement process and contractor management.
