Improving youth services social infrastructure in Queensland.
The APP Group was appointed by the Queensland Department of Public Works as Site Representative services for Wacol Youth Remand Centre to deliver new infrastructure for the Queensland Government and Youth Services. As Site Representative working with key stakeholders, Queensland Police Services, APP managed the delivery of the 40 bed Wacol Youth Remand Centre and oversaw the Design and Construction Contractor Hutchinson Builders in delivering a complex prefabricated building infrastructure. Our team is also the onsite site representative, delivering defects management and detailed reporting.
The new complex security centres are purpose built to significantly improve the youth services social infrastructure and reduce pressures on existing facilities and services. This will also improve youth crime prevention services, and educational facilities for youth offenders and improve social and community safety services.
