Midland Gate
Supporting the growth of Perth’s eastern suburbs with a major shopping centre expansion.
Midland Gate is an enclosed single-level regional shopping centre located 18 kilometres north-east of Perth's CBD. The centre is anchored by Big W, Kmart, Target, ALDI, Coles, Woolworths and ACE Cinemas and includes more than 155 specialty stores, a new fresh food precinct and an expanded dining offer.
Vicinity Centres appointed The APP Group to deliver a feasibility review for Midland Gate. After the development was approved, our team was also engaged to project manage the shopping centre expansion and provide superintendent services.
All construction was carried out in a live environment so that Midland Gate could remain operational throughout the expansion. Our team designed a staged program to minimise impact to tenants and the public, that included a relocation of major tenant Coles. Additional basement parking and a new upper-level carpark were added to support the growing 69,000sqm gross floor area.
