Certifying transformational public transport in South East Queensland
Cross River Rail is a state significant public transport infrastructure project that will transform travel in and around Brisbane.
The APP Group is providing Independent Certification services across the three main Design and Construction packages.
The construction of the Cross River Rail network includes a new 10.2km rail line that will run from Dutton Park to Bowen Hill and 5.9km of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD.
The project will also feature the construction of four new state-of-the-art underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, and Roma Street, and the redevelopment of the Dutton Park and Exhibition Stations.
Once completed, Cross River Rail will unlock the bottleneck at the core of the rail network by delivering a second river crossing, making public transport a more viable option for the whole of our region, helping to ease congestion on our roads.
Our contribution to the Cross River Rail project complements The APP Group’s previous consultancy experience on other infrastructure mega-projects spanning the rail, light rail, motorway, tunnelling and social infrastructure sectors.
