Providing a tailor-made service
The APP Program Solutions team was appointed by ALDI to provide Project Management services and assist in developing and implementing a strategy that would enable the refurbishment of a number of stores nationwide. This Implementation Strategy would define a completely new procurement and delivery model, closely tailored to ALDI’s specific requirements.
The Project ReFresh Implementation Strategy and Plan was based on a series of key objectives to ensure that each ReFresh store was delivered as quickly as possible to avoid lengthy store closures and minimise disruption for customers.
Implementation of the new strategy began in 2017 and within the first year, APP helped ALDI to deliver 53 ReFresh stores, a process which takes six months to complete from the feasibility stage through to planning and design management, construction, commissioning and completion. A further 68 stores have been planned up to the feasibility phase in 2018.
