New, refreshed and enhanced services
InvoCare is a leading provider of quality funeral homes and services, crematoria and cemeteries across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. They have appointed the APP Program Solutions team to assist them in redesigning the facilities of their funeral services brands, with the aim to serve all market segments. The Network and Brand Optimisation Program (NBO) will operate across Australia and New Zealand, as part of InvoCare's $200 million Protect and Grow Strategy. The NBO aims to deliver the new, refreshed and enhanced funeral homes and shopfronts as well as master-planned cemeteries by 2020.
Delivering the strategy
APP has worked closely with InvoCare to develop the NBO Implementation Strategy, which was completed by the end of 2016 and is now in use. APP has also been engaged to provide a Project Management Office (PMO) in addition to Project Management and Program Management services and are involved in the works necessary to develop InvoCare’s brand and property guidelines, design standards and have facilitated the FFE and consumables procurement.
Delivery of the Program is now well underway, with works divided into four key capital expenditure groups
- Growth – expanding InvoCare’s portfolio with the acquisition of new sites
- Relocation – moving existing services to new sites
- Refresh – refurbishment of existing funeral homes and shop fronts through paint works, furnishings and joinery
- Enhance – As a priority, InvoCare are looking to achieve significant upgrades to 12 existing sites in 2018
In March 2018 APP delivered the first major project of the program in the Le Pine Funerals and White Lady Funerals in Dandenong, setting a benchmark for the future of funeral home facilities.
