Epworth Eastern Hospital Redevelopment
Easing healthcare demands in eastern Melbourne.
Epworth Eastern Hospital is the local healthcare facility servicing the community in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. With the hospital continuously reaching maximum capacity, NorthWest Healthcare and Epworth Eastern Healthcare invested $140 million to equip the facility with additional operating theatres, hospital beds and consulting suites.
The redevelopment includes the construction of a 15-storey tower and the demolition of existing apartment blocks. The new tower will house five new operating theatres, non-clinical and plant levels, three levels of inpatient beds, seven levels of consulting suites and a three-level basement car park.
The APP Group was engaged to provide strategy, project management and superintendent services for the Epworth Eastern Hospital redevelopment. The role covers leading the consultant team, engaging with hospital stakeholders, and developing a robust procurement strategy.
