North-South Corridor

Unlocking the final piece of Adelaide’s traffic network.

As part of South Australia’s 30-year strategic plan, the Australian and South Australian governments are collaborating to create a non-stop North-South Corridor through Adelaide. It will become the major route for north and south-bound traffic, including freight vehicles, for the 78 kilometres between Gawler and Old Noarlunga.

The APP Group was asked to deliver Strategic Advisory services to build the final Business Case for the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project. This includes managing the Business Case within the Executive Leadership Team for the North-South Corridor, Transaction Strategy advisory services, Contract Management and advisory services for Procurement including project management assurance.

The T2D project is the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor and is estimated to save up to 40 minutes of travel time during peak hour traffic once complete. The project will connect communities across Greater Adelaide by using a combination of tunnels, lowered and surface-level motorways, as well as overpasses and underpasses at key intersections. Main construction is expected to begin in 2025 and is expected to complete in 2031.
