The APP Group’s promotes Brenden Quabba to lead our Northern Queensland Transport business.

The APP Group congratulates Brenden Quabba who has recently been promoted to Executive General Manager for our Transport business North Queensland.  

Brenden has over 30 years of experience operating in senior executive positions across Northern Queensland from as far south as Mackay to Cloncurry in the west. He began his career in civil construction building highways across Queensland before he began working for Thuringowa City Council, which amalgamated with Townsville City Council, where he spent 20 years managing large local government asset portfolio’s including fleet, transport networks, drainage, other public utility assets, and parks and open spaces. He managed several diverse departments such as major projects, technical services, infrastructure assets, fleet services, and infrastructure delivery.  

At Townsville City Council, Brenden led the disaster recovery program following Cyclone Yasi in 2011 which was a large and complex project. Due to his contribution and leadership, Brenden won the Local Buy Professional Procurement Queensland Award for his unique procurement and delivery model for the works for Cyclone Yasi.  

On his promotion, Brenden states, “I look forward to further developing our Northern Queensland team to ensure we open up new avenues of work and operate across all sectors with the rest of The APP Group’s businesses. I aim to build high performing project management teams across multiple portfolios and disciplines through a culture of support, encouragement, good communication and with a no surprises policy.” 

Following the 2019 flood in Townsville, Brenden was engaged as Program Manager for Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements’ Program Management and Inspection Services for Richmond Shire Council to develop packages of approved rectification works and manage the activities. 

Brenden joined St George Project Services in 2017 as Operations Manager. In July 2023, St George Projects Services was consolidated into The APP Group brand.
