Hotel Chadstone
Melbourne’s luxury Hotel is Australia’s second hotel to receive a 5 Star Green Star Design rating.
Located southeast of the Melbourne CBD, Chadstone is a world-class lifestyle destination and is home to Australia’s largest shopping centre. As part of its master plan, Vicinity Centres teamed up with Gandel Group to develop Hotel Chadstone, a 250-room luxury hotel to be operated under the MGallery by the Sofitel brand.
The 19,000 m2 hotel includes 250 rooms, restaurants, conferencing and function rooms, and sports and recreational facilities. The hotel achieved a 5 Star Green Star Design, the second hotel in Australia to accomplish this rating.
The APP Group was engaged to lead project advisory, consulting, and design management services for the hotel development project. The team supported the early curtain wall façade design and prototype process, as well as the design and construction of a hotel room prototype ahead of the main construction.
In addition, the team provided superintendent services for the integration of the head contract and key FFE contracts, including the logistics with the final pre-opening bump-in.
