Increasing the capacity and health outcomes for healthcare in Inverell.
To meet the growing needs of the community in and around Inverell, Health Infrastructure NSW identified a significant opportunity to redevelop and modernise local healthcare services.
The APP Group was engaged in 2016 to deliver a Business Case to support the redevelopment project covering Stage 1A and Stage 1B scope.
Stage 1A involved delivering a new acute services hospital to cover all existing services and provide additional capacity for renal dialysis and day surgery patients. Following this, Stage 1B is the refurbishment of the old hospital to allow existing community health services to relocate into a more contemporary setting. These services included adult ambulatory care, mental health services, women’s and children’s services, oral health, chronic disease treatment programs and allied health.
Once Stage 1A funding was announced, The APP Group was also tasked with managing the design development, procurement and construction works for the project. The new acute services hospital was completed in May 2020. Following this, the refurbishment and modernisation of the old hospital were completed in 2021.
