Modernising facilities for Australia’s largest funerals provider.
InvoCare is the largest provider of funerals in Australia and operates brands including White Lady Funerals, Simplicity Funerals and Guardian Funerals. The company manages more than 300 funeral locations, 17 cemeteries, 29 crematoria and has a global workforce of more than 1,850 people throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
To meet the changing needs of InvoCare’s customers and to continue to generate profitable growth, the company began to focus on identifying opportunities to optimise its brands and network, adapt its product offering, increase market share, and maximise operational efficiencies.
In response to these needs InvoCare developed a strategy designed to advance customer service and respond to changing needs and demands. The Network and Brand Optimisation (NBO) program was the cornerstone of the strategy, set-up to deliver new, refreshed and enhanced property assets across their entire property portfolio.
The APP Group was appointed in 2016 to deliver the NBO program for InvoCare to redesign and refresh 280 facilities throughout Australia and New Zealand. In addition, our team were engaged to provide Project Management services for the program rollout. Works included the acquisition of new sites, relocation of existing services, refurbishment of funeral homes and shop fronts.
The first major project of the program was delivered in 2018 for Le Pine Funerals and White Lady Funerals in Dandenong and set a new benchmark for modern funeral homes.
