Cobaw's Healthy Community Access Hub

Cobaw's Healthy Community Access Hub

Bringing vital community health and family services together

Cobaw Community Health Services is a not-for-profit and Registered Community Health organisation that provides a range of free and low-cost services to over 5,000 people each year. Based in regional Victoria, Cobaw’s office in Kyneton was limiting its capacity to grow and meet service demand.

In March 2017, Cobaw was awarded a grant from the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund through the Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority. The $490 million fund is the largest grant program in Victorian history. This allowed for a purpose-built community health hub that includes 13 consulting suites, therapy spaces, meeting rooms, offices and open-plan workspace.

The APP Group was engaged by Cobaw Community Health Services to lead the management of the project. This involved reviewing the master plan, client briefing, design phases, procurement, superintendence of the contract and key stakeholder liaison.

Cobaw's new Healthy Community Access Hub now allows for better collaboration between primary health and community health services, provides the latest advances in e-health technologies to patients and includes a flexible community space for the Macedon Ranges area.
