Mater Misericordiae (Mater) is a Catholic not-for-profit ministry of Mercy Partner and is a nationally accredited education provider, a world-class medical research institute and provides philanthropic support to improve the health of their communities. Mater has an extensive network of hospitals, health centres and related businesses.
With recent compliance changes required for sterile stores in clinical facilities due to concerns for temperature and humidity controls, Mater required upgrades to their private hospital and Salmon buildings. The APP Group has been engaged to provide project management and superintendent services by managing stakeholders, consultant procurement and managing the design team. This includes delivery of multiple sterile stores including back of house plant room works, upgrading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services, and extensive architectural enhancements.
When these upgrades are completed, it will ensure that the sterile stores met full compliance with the latest regulatory requirements, have enhanced safety and quality, align with environmental goals, cost savings and sustainability, and increase ability for client monitoring and infection control measures.
