Setting a high benchmark for businesses and technology parks around Australia with CSIRO's Riverside Corporate Park.
Riverside Corporate Park is a complex management and business initiative of the CSIRO, conceived by The APP Group (APP) and the CSIRO. The APP Group acted for CSIRO as project manager and successfully managed the transformation of CSIRO’s North Ryde precinct from a loose grouping of buildings, services and road system into a structured Business Park, with CSIRO retaining an interest as the core stakeholder.
Our team managed the staged design and construction of a new road system and utilities infrastructure, servicing properties retained by CSIRO and properties released for sale. Staged decanting of CSIRO divisions into new and refurbished facilities enable the release of land for sale and redevelopment.
We also project managed the construction of three new buildings for the CSIRO division of Building Construction and Engineering, and “The Village” retail complex, including a 25m swimming pool and multi-storey carpark. A new joint facility for the CSIRO Molecular Science and Food Science Australia was also built. This project includes heavily serviced laboratories and process bays, with a projected cost of $50m.
The APP Group's comprehensive role included project management of Riverside Corporate Park masterplanning activities, detailed liaison with authorities and utilities suppliers including Ryde Council, Energy Australia and Telstra, scheduling and staging design and construction activities and project cost control and reporting.
