Sydney Metro West
Building an underground railway connection between Parramatta and Sydney’s CBD.
As Australia’s biggest public transport project, the Sydney Metro will significantly change how people move around Sydney. The Sydney Metro West is a new 24km metro line that runs from Westmead in Sydney’s West through to Hunter Street in the heart of Sydney. It will double rail capacity between Parramatta’s and Sydney’s CBDs and provide faster connections with the sporting and entertainment precinct at Sydney Olympic Park.
The new “turn-up-and-go” metro services are fast, reliable and Australia’s only fully accessible and driverless train service. With the West metro line, new rail services will be delivered for the first time to Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays and Pyrmont.
The APP Group provided Transaction Management services for the Sydney Metro West project, acting as Transaction Director for major procurement processes. The project team delivered communications management and transaction documentation, as well as process, risk and data management.
