Assuring a renewable energy future in Western Australia.
Mumbida Wind Farm is a 55MW renewable energy project located 40km southeast of Geraldton in Western Australia. It was developed by a joint venture between the WA Government and Macquarie Capital in support of the South West Interconnected System grid.
To certify that design and construction were carried out in line with the contract, The APP Group was appointed to provide technical and independent certification services for the design, construction, commissioning and testing phases of the wind farm.
The wind farm uses 22 x 2.5MW General Electric wind turbines and was designed to be able to expand to 85MW in the future.
