Ewan House, Knox Grammar School

Ewan House, Knox Grammar School

Delivering heritage-sensitive upgrades to a historic residence on school grounds.

Knox Grammar School is an independent Uniting Church school located in Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. Founded in 1924, the school caters to primary and secondary students across three campuses: Knox Senior School, Wahroonga Preparatory School, and Knox Preparatory School.

Located on the grounds of Knox Preparatory School is Ewan House, a heritage-listed residence constructed in 1896 and currently used by the school as a flexible learning and administration centre.

Continuing the Knox Grammar School theme of “innovation wrapped in tradition”, the school made plans to upgrade Ewan House to provide an overall improvement to functionality and accessibility to meet the growing needs of the school, its students, and its staff.

The APP Group has been engaged by Knox Grammar School to deliver project management services for the refurbishment of Ewan House. The role covers the delivery of upgrades to the ground and first floor internal spaces of the building to include state-of-the-art technology and increase general learning areas.

The APP Group project team is also supporting Knox Grammar School with an infrastructure upgrade project at Gillespie Sports Fields
