Gillespie Field Sports Amenities, Knox Grammar School
Improving amenities at a large school sports facility.
Gillespie Sports Field is an independent sports field located between the grounds of the Knox Grammar School Senior campus and the Knox Preparatory School campus. In 2022, the school decided to upgrade the amenities at Gillespie Field to improve the maintenance and experiences during sporting events.
The APP Group was engaged by Knox Grammar School to provide project management services for the Gillespie Field Sports Amenities upgrade project. The project covers upgrades to facilities including changing rooms, toilets, a first aid room, canteen, and storerooms and the removal of an existing pergola and BBQ area to make way for a new foyer and viewing terrace.
Founded in 1924, Knox Grammar School is an independent Uniting Church school located in Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore and is committed to being a leading school that is highly respected globally for innovation, and altruism, and has a commitment to student and teacher excellence and wellbeing.
In 2023, Knox Grammar aimed to continue its theme of “innovation wrapped in tradition” by upgrading its Gillespie Sports Field. This project includes improvements to sports changing facilities, renewing associated support spaces and the construction of a viewing terrace.
