New Midtown Macquarie Park Public School
Delivering a vertical school in one of Sydney’s major growth areas.
Macquarie Park is one of Sydney’s major growth areas and is set to play a key role as an innovation precinct and economic powerhouse in Sydney’s North District. To meet the growing demand for public education in the region, the NSW Government has invested funds to deliver a new primary school in Midtown Macquarie Park.
Upon completion, the new Midtown Macquarie Park public school will accommodate 750 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 within a six-storey vertical campus. The vertical campus will include new classrooms, rooftop outdoor play areas, sporting facilities, and performing arts spaces, in addition to a multipurpose hall, library, car park and staff facilities.
The APP Group has been appointed by School Infrastructure NSW to provide Project Management services for the new Midtown Macquarie Park public school project from Concept Design validation through to completion. This project is unique in its delivery of a new vertical typology for public education and involves management of planning complexities with the building site being within a constrained site in a privately developed housing estate.
