Social and Affordable Housing Fund

Providing access to more than 5,600 social and affordable homes in NSW.

The $2 billion Social and Affordable Housing Fund was established by the NSW Government in 2015 as an innovative approach to delivering social and affordable housing in NSW. Available for up to 25 years, the fund provides access to social and affordable housing, as well as coordinated support for residents tailored to their individual needs. The first phase, announced in 2017 will add 2,200 dwellings, while the second will provide access to 3,400 homes over the life of the program.

The APP Group collaborated with the NSW Department of Family and Community Services to develop program governance structures and project management processes and systems. Our team was involved right from the start, developing procurement strategies and processes across technical, services, commercial, legal and financial working groups. Aside from strategic advice, the team also handled transaction management activities including industry briefings and facilitating transactions during both phases of the project.
