Toorak College - Swift Science and Technology Centre
Inspiring students to pursue STEM at prestigious college in Melbourne's South East.
Established in 1874, Toorak College is an independent school from early learning to Year 12 located on the Mornington Peninsula. The College is ranked in the Top 50 schools in Victoria and has a reputation for an outstanding level of education. The College's science facilities were outdated and Toorak College decided to build a new state-of-the-art science facility with innovative design, modern technology, and collaborative informal and formal learning spaces.
The APP Group were appointed to provide strategic advisory, procurement, and design and construction management services for this project. Our team provided solutions for room layouts to optimise teaching conditions without detracting from the aesthetic interior. The result involves a striking curved and angled facade - an innovative design that incorporates the land's topography to maximise the space in the building.
Opened to students in 2020, the Swift Science and Technology Centre provides an exceptional student experience in an environment designed to train future leaders in the field of STEM. Key features include:
