Lifeblood New Donor Centres & Upgrades
Improving the proximity and convenience for existing and prospective donors across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
The APP Group has been engaged by Australia Red Cross Lifeblood to provide project management services for a program of works delivering nine new donor centres across VIC, NSW and QLD. Initial new sites include Camberwell Donor Centre in VIC and Hurstville Donor Centre in NSW. Ongoing fit out and upgrades will continue to occur across key centres.
The new site projects are under the Metro Network Plan which aims to significantly the improve accessibility of donor centres to maximise the collection of life-giving blood, plasma, transplantation and biological products to make meaningful health impacts across the country. Each new donor centre will include upgrades for its reception area, interview rooms and donor amenities, collection floor, checking, packing and temperature monitored store, and staff amenities.
Our team were appointed as project manager to provide program management, due diligence and quality control, consultant and contractor coordination and construction oversight. We will be providing these services across all phases of the project with Lifeblood.
Upgrading the donor centres will improve the proximity and convenience for existing and prospective donors which increase the collection of life-giving blood, plasma, transplantation and biological products. It will also improve donor engagement and experience as well as staff experience to cultivate a workforce of champions.
